A award-winning competition entry as part of the City of Sydney design excellence process for the Ashmore Precinct – one of the largest urban development projects in Sydney.
Park Sydney is a complex interdisciplinary project where much of the publicly accessible spaces are located on podium or roof top which requires a technical understanding of the complex requirements, and the ability to seamlessly resolve and integrate these elements into a successful design outcome.
The design draws upon the fine grain urban fabric established within the surrounding suburbs of Erskineville and Ashmore and celebrates their unique and diverse characteristics as reflected within the built form and various landscape areas found within the mixed-use residential development.
The landscape comprises; activated and residential street frontages, publicly accessible laneway, fig tree garden, podium courtyards, private balconies, common roof gardens, vegetable gardens and native green roofs with solar panels – contributing to achieve a net-zero energy rating.
