The master plan envisages the Meadowbrook Health Hub as a major health, medical and services precinct on a 1.624 hectare site on Nestor Drive in Meadowbrook, Logan, approximately 25km south of Brisbane.
The proposed development incorporates a mix of uses including a private hospital, health care services and associated ancillary healthcare and research spaces, short term accommodation, childcare centre and supporting commercial, retail and hospitality spaces.
The Meadowbrook Health Hub intends to greatly increase the health care offering within Meadowbrook and will assist in transforming the area into an attractive destination, supported by a connected, vibrant, healthy and social community.
Tract Urban Design led the masterplanning process, working closely with the client to develop a vision for the site that addressed the significant need for additional health care services in the area, and seamlessly integrated the site into the Meadowbrook Centre.
Tract Landscape Architecture furthered the site’s vision with the development of a Landscape Master Plan for the site that leans heavily on the principles of biophilic design, healthy spaces and places and providing a green heart within the precinct.
Tract Town Planning led the strategic and statutory planning elements of this project, including the preparation of the Meadowbrook Health Hub Master Plan. We successfully prepared, lodged and managed the combined development application for a Variation Request (varying the effect of the Logan Planning Scheme 2015) and Development Permit for Material Change of Use (Hospital, Health care service, Short-term accommodation, Hotel, Food and drink outlet and Shop).
