Pronouns

Identity

We want everyone at Tract to be able to bring their whole self to work.

For people to be able to do this, we all share the responsibility of increasing our knowledge and being respectful of people’s experiences. We also have a responsibility to provide a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone to feel comfortable to bring their whole selves to work, regardless of their gender or sexual identity.

We take pride in celebrating and advocating for diversity within our team, which is why everyone at Tract has the option to display their pronouns. We believe this is important to normalise discussions in the workplace about gender and create an inclusive work environment for all employees, whatever their identity.

Pronouns are words that people use to refer to themselves when not using their name. Using the right pronoun for a person matters and is one of the easiest ways of showing them respect. For many trans people, having people know and use correct and affirming pronouns is an important and validating part of their gender affirmation.

If you would like to learn more about the different types of pronouns and how to use affirming pronouns, we encourage you to visit the TransHub website.
