Responding the sites layered pre- and post-colonial history, the design incorporates extensive garden bed areas comprising locally indigenous native vegetation communities to improve biodiversity and habitat for local flora and fauna.

The landscape response celebrates the sites post-industrial past as referenced through strategic material selection and integration of discovered historical elements and artefacts into the design, and seamlessly integrates with the parks established character.

Tract were also required to respond to the complexities associated with design and construction on landfill sites, while incorporating significant and much needed improvements including improved greenspace and path network, establish new park entry signage for the park, new amenities building, and new barbeques and picnic settings.
