The waterways and wetlands at Eynesbury are a defining feature of the township’s landscape identity—designed to enhance ecological processes, support biodiversity, and create serene spaces for passive recreation. These interconnected systems improve water quality, regenerate native vegetation, and provide critical habitat for birds, aquatic species, and pollinators, reinforcing the site’s natural heritage and environmental resilience.
By balancing environmental function with community amenity, the waterways and wetlands exemplify Eynesbury’s commitment to sustainable living and landscape-led design.
A continuous shared path system permeates throughout Eynesbury’s open spaces, waterways and surrounding buffer ‘green links’, linking adjacent stages and forming a circuit that connects the entire township. This network promotes an active and healthy lifestyle while linking key destinations across the township.
Eynesbury is scattered with passive and active reserves, often nestled among established trees, providing shade and character, while fallen timber has been thoughtfully retained to create natural habitats for local wildlife. Reserves boast generous kickabout areas, half-ballcourts, playgrounds, nature play spaces, picnic and BBQ areas, shelter and shaded seating areas which provide the perfect setting to pause, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors.
For over 20 years, Tract has played a crucial role in the development of the Township of Eynesbury. From the first stages of land rezoning, to establishing the Township’s unique masterplan, which integrated recreational features throughout the landscape and open spaces, to the ongoing design and overseeing construction, Tract has been involved in the delivery of the full spectrum of features required to build a thriving new community.
