The Gen Fyansford development consists of the former Geelong Cement Works site and the former CSR Quarry on the eastern and western banks of the Moorabool River. This unique community is a strategically important urban in-fill site situated approximately 5km west of the Geelong CBD.
Tract has brought a truly collaborative approach to the Gen Fyansford project through the involvement of our Town Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture and Media teams to renew a historic industrial area into an exciting master-planned community.
Providing around 1000 residential allotments, the community will be centered around a new Town Centre which will include a range of retail, employment, civic, medical and entertainment uses which will connect and interplay with the areas of public open space.
The public park lands along the banks of the Moorabool River will be the major drawcard for the future Gen Fyansford community and Tract has approached the urban and landscape design with an emphasis on ‘place making’ to provide for the long term protection and enjoyment of the Moorabool River environs.
Tract has been integral to many of the project milestones achieved to date including obtaining a Ministerial Amendment to relocate the Town Centre as well as the approval of a revised Development Plan through the local Council.
