Tract worked with Investa Property Group, Melton Shire Council and the Growth Areas Authority in planning for the transition of land on the outskirts of Diggers Rest from underdeveloped farming to urban land.
Through this process, a Precinct Structure Plan, Native Vegetation Precinct Plan and Development Contributions plan were approved by government in 2012.
The PSP will guide the growth of Diggers Rest from its current population of 3,300 to accommodate a population of closer to 11,000 that will support a stronger mix of services and facilities for the town. The PSP provides for a new town centre incorporating new community facilities, employment land, parkland, expansion of education facilities together with residential land at a variety of densities.
Investa control approximately 40% of the 360Ha Precinct Structure Plan area and are now proceeding with the staged subdivision of their landholding. Tract has obtained the planning approvals for the initial stages of the development.
