Tract assisted Ai Group in obtaining development plan approval for 1435 Plenty Road, a key part of Mernda Town Centre, and continues to assist in planning permit approval.
The development, including retail, housing, office and community uses, will provide much needed services to the Mernda growth corridor whilst protecting the iconic Mernda Pub and Mechanics Institute. It sits on the north west side of the Mernda Town Centre and will help frame the town centre by its iconic built form and active frontages to the street.
The design responds to the site and surrounds by preserving key River Red Gums and allowing for a north south road connection through the site to service the surronding community. It will be a landmark contribution to this prominent intersection and help support activity centre principles by providing a diversity of uses and pedestrian friendly design.
