Design, Culture & Identity – The Role of Landscape Architecture in Shaping Melbourne

Join us for a conversation between eminent Landscape Architect, Steve Calhoun, and Professor Gini Lee to discuss the role of design in the physical and cultural evolution of Melbourne.

Through 40 years of practice, planning & design firm Tract, has shaped places for civic interaction, conduits for movement, encounters with ‘nature’.

Steve and Gini will discuss the relationship between people and place, and how as designers, we grapple with the nexus between humans and their environments to achieve the best possible outcomes for health – physical, mental, environmental – finding resilient, imaginative solutions to the manifold demands on the spaces in which we all conduct our lives.
