New Managing Director & Senior Principal_____

New Managing Director & Senior Principal

In what has been a successful year for Tract Consultants, the Board was pleased to announce the appointment of Deiter Lim as the new Managing Director of Tract Consultants Pty Ltd, effective as of 1st July 2013.

Tract Consultants - Deiter Lim

Deiter Lim
Managing Director

Deiter takes over from Stephen White who after a 5 year tenure at the helm decided to step down from his position to concentrate on the strategic development of the Queensland practice as well as the development of the company in the Northern Territory and Asian countries.

Stephen will remain as a Director and in his time as the Managing Director undertook and successfully led the implementation of the challenging conversion of the Tract Consultant Unit Trust to its present corporate structure. The new corporate structure has transformed the company giving it greater flexibility and adaptability in an extremely competitive marketplace. This new corporate structure allows Tract to grow into the future due to Stephen’s stewardship.
Within this current competitive marketplace, Tract is looking forward with some confidence and is now re-investing in its business to strengthen its national presence and to bolster its growing Asian workflow, which sees it working on numerous projects in China, as well as in Burma and Vietnam. This business investment has seen, for Tract, the exciting appointment of Graeme Harvison as a Senior Principal to our Brisbane Office which, Tract in conjunction with the PPP JV and design team, was recently awarded the Australia Award for Urban Design 2013 for the Northern Busway (Windsor to Kedron). Graeme’s role at Tract is to draw on his significant technical and managerial expertise and along with Stephen White drive the business development for the Brisbane office locally, nationally and internationally to add strength to Tract’s national presence in the marketplace and to further strengthen its growing Asian presence.

Graeme brings over thirty years of experience in the field of landscape architecture, urban design and master planning. Over this period of time he has been extensively involved in the planning and design of major infrastructure, commercial, residential, industrial, educational, resort and tourism projects throughout the world, including working extensively in Australia, South East Asia, China, the Middle East and New Zealand. Graeme is a Registered Landscape Architect, a Registered Urban Designer, a Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, a Member of the Urban Land Institute, a Member of the Urban Development Association of Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.

In addition to Graeme’s extensive technical expertise, he brings to Tract a significant managerial presence. Prior to EDAW’s formal merger with AECOM in 2009, he was the Managing Regional Director of EDAW, in Australia and New Zealand, which also entailed Graeme being a member of the Management Board of EDAW Internationally. During this time Graeme also took on several international roles at a management level including Co Regional Managing Director of EDAW ASIA, Board Representative of Suzhou Joint Venture (Jinji Lake) and Regional Managing Director of EDAW Middle East. He has also held Board positions on Alliance Projects for large infrastructure projects including the Inner Northern Busway, which won the Australia Award for Urban Design in 2010.
