Melbourne Landscape Promotions

Tract is pleased to welcome two of its Landscape Architects; Chris Downie and Mark Skiba as Associates of Tract Consultants. Their dedication to positive landscape outcomes and promotion of the profession of landscape architecture is highly valued at Tract.

Chris Downie, Associate Landscape Architect & Horticulturalist

Chris is a trained Horticulturalist and Landscape Architect and has been a valued team member at Tract for ten years. He brings to each of his projects not only a passion for great planting design, but meticulous eye for all landscape detail. Chris has contributed to the planting design of many of Tracts key projects, from detailed residential gardens through to broad scale revegetation projects, including several award winning outcomes. Major projects have included Eastlink, Queenscliff Marina and major revegetation projects at Settlers Run and Eynesbury Golf Courses respectively. More recently his efforts have been focused upon delivering environmentally responsive landscape outcomes for the Wyndham Harbour project.
Mark Skiba, Associate Landscape Architect

Mark has been with Tract since graduating in 2007. He is a rounded team member and valued for his contribution to Tract and the broader landscape architecture profession through the Australian institute of Landscape Architects and tutoring at the University of Melbourne. He has a strong background in all aspects of project management, from the initial stages of schematic design and masterplanning, through to detailed documentation and contract administration. His recent work has included the New Royal Adelaide Hospital and Thorndon Park Masterplan in South Australia. He has a particular interest in both urban history and contemporary design theory and how these combine in practice to form enriching open spaces. Mark has previously volunteered on the AILA ‘Fresh’ Committee and is currently assisting with the ‘Cultivate’ group, responsible for running special events and talks of current topical interest to Landscape Architects and other allied professions.
