We seek a Student or Graduate Urban Designer who is enthusiastic about delivering place based, human centered projects across multiple scales to join our established national design team. We can offer the right person the opportunity to develop a career in a vibrant, contemporary, multi-disciplinary design environment, based in our Melbourne office.

The role will involve:

  • Providing design and production support on a range of strategic design projects, infill development projects and master planned communities.
  • Preparing high quality plans, cross sections, illustrations and 3D visualisations to support our project work.
  • Supporting project managers with research and report writing.
  • Contributing to the development of tender bids and EOI opportunities.
  • Participating in internal team project and resourcing meetings and discussions.

We are looking for a Student or Graduate Urban Designer who:

  • Has completed or is close to competing at least three years of a recognised tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Planning.
  • Has experience with GIS, CAD, SketchUp and Rhino and the Adobe Suite. (MicroStation would be advantageous, but non-essential).
  • Has demonstrated design, graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Understands the importance of delivering project outputs on time and within budget.
  • Is enthusiastic, motivated, and comfortable working as part of a team environment.

Initially, it is anticipated that the role will be for two to three days a week for a student and full-time for a Graduate. Flexible work hours will be offered for the student role to work around study periods.
