New MPavilion Arriving Spring 2017

Tract Consultants is delighted to announce our ongoing support as a partner of MPavilion for 2017-18.

The fourth MPavilion, arriving in spring 2017, will be designed by Netherlands–based architects OMA / Rem Koolhaas & David Gianotten.

A creator of modern architectural icons, OMA is a prolific international practice of worldwide distinction and influence.

In our capacity as Landscape Architects, Tract is collaborating with OMA, Kane, Arup and the MPavilion team to design of the next MPavilion.
As planners and designers of the built environment, through the disciplines of Town Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture & Media – Tract staff are involved in shaping the places we live and work, and understand the role of design in shaping the cultural life of a city.

Founded in 2014, MPavilion is a unique architecture commission and design event for Melbourne, initiated by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation with support from City of Melbourne and the Victorian State Government.

Every year for four years, an outstanding architect will be commissioned to design a temporary pavilion for the Queen Victoria Gardens, in the centre of Melbourne’s Southbank Arts Precinct. An event hub, a meeting place and an invitation to experiment, each MPavilion brings creative collaborators together to present a free, four-month program of talks, workshops and performances from October to February.
