How We Work_____

The uniting of Tract’s professional disciplines has made it possible for the practice to operate beyond the usual scope, and contribute to large-scale, complex environmental and urban projects.

Tract provides leadership and delivers creative solutions to ensure the health and prosperity of natural and urban environments. As planners & designers our charter is to positively impact the social through molding the physical. We shape places for civic interaction, conduits for movement, places to live, work and visit.

We embed ecological remediation and artful display in pragmatic outcomes - to achieve the best possible outcomes for health – physical, mental, economic, environmental.
Tract, as town planner, urban designer, and landscape architect, spans the range of project types from infrastructure to institutions, new towns to waterfronts, parks to private garden. Our work across the decades is recognised by peers and industry in the roll of design competitions and awards.

We are equipped to respond to new challenges - addressing climatic, demographic & spatial pressures to optimise civic outcomes. Internally, we invest in culture of inquiry.

Our group is involved in professional associations, industry, cultural programs, and the universities. We undertake design & ideas competitions, conduct forums and charrettes and host student interns – to maintain active engagement and participation in current practice.

As a large organisation, we are equipped to service technical; design & administration issues for projects of all scales. Much of our work is from repeat clients, from all levels of government and the private sector, a testament to our capable and creative staff; commitment to service, project delivery and responsiveness.
